Concrete Lamp Concept
Craft meets industrialization, finding a way to have light pass through concrete - concrete infused with fibre optics?
This project started on the factory floor - understanding the process, meeting the craftsmen, understanding the constraints of materials & process before sketching & conceptualizing.
The material: A lightweight concrete-paper hybrid that's completely biodegradable
The Process: The mixture is poured into fibre glass moulds, mixed to remove any air pockets, flattened & left to set before being de-moulded.
